I joined Influenster in December of 2011 with the hopes of trying new products. I had just began the wonderful adventure of blogging and was eager to try new things and connect with other people. I remember the day my 1st voxbox arrived, it felt like Christmas, I immediately grabbed my camera and started snapping pictures of the opening process and products. Then came the fun part of trying the products, Whether it was a new dish soap, mascara, nail polish or candy, trying the product and documenting my opinion on it. After that I write up a review, add some pictures and then share with the world.

My favorite VoxBox has to be the Jadore Voxbox 2014. FrizzEase and Lashes and Kisses ,Oh My!!! This was by far my favorite box. After trying all the products I had to run out and get some full sizes! Some of these items I would of never tried let alone bought.

The Influenster site is by far my favorite! Not only you can look at reviews of different items but you can review them also. You can ask and answer questions and rate the items. As well as connect with social media and gain points, earn badges or even just hang out in The Hub. Whenever I go shopping I make sure the Influenster app is ready to go.

Influenster became one of my favorite site very fast. To have a company that wants to send me stuff for free to write my opinion and share it with the word is priceless to me.
For those who will still read this, I am sorry I left for so long. After my dad died and I became homeless and depressed, it was hard for me to get up in the morning let alone blog about anything. I was in a very very dark place for a long time and didn't know how to pull myself out of it.

Now things have turned around and I feel like a brand new person. After over a year living in a hotel, being so broke and broken I have moved into a house with my brother , his girlfriend and my boyfriend. I have gotten a job which I love, and I am mentally healthy again.

I have always loved and still love makeup and have missed sharing my looks and reviews with everyone. I am still working on setting up my makeup table and getting everything situated but I will be starting PHLF again!!! It'll be a slow start but I will get up and running again.. I think I will also use this blog for fashion and jewelry also!

Stay tuned!!! I am also cleaning up this blog and getting rid of a lot of older posts! Its time for a fresh start!

Not only the colors are vibrant and lovely.. They apply easy because of the amazing brush. and they also dry super quick and last awhile.

The only thing I did not like was the one color Jaded.. That is more of a personal thing than anything.. I didnt like the color.

I bet you are asking if I would buy myself.. Yes.. I will have many more colors soon!
I was kind of disappointing that the box was crushed a bit, but that's the postal service not MaryKay or Influenster. I immediately opened the box. At first glance I have to say I am impressed by the presentation. There were 5 full size products inside. Each were in individual boxes and the brush came in a case. Very cute and classy. There was also a product card, a giveaway opportunity and a MaryKay catalog.

What was inside:

- MaryKay Lash Love Lengthening (I <3 Black) $15.00
* LASHilious! Long. Strong. Seriously separated lashes.

- MaryKay Cream Eyecolor/Concealer Brush $10.00
* The perfect brush for applying any cream product.

- MaryKay Lash Primer $ 15.00
* Dramatic Definition.Fuller looking lashes.

- MaryKay Cream Eyecolor (Violet Storm) $22.00
* Soft, creamy, long wearing formula

- MaryKay True Dimensions Lip Stick (Pink Cherie) $18.00
* Intensely moisturizing. Exquisitely smoothing

Now I have used MaryKay products in the past and they never disappoint. When I was younger it never appealed to me because I always had the impression that its old ladyish. I do believe if they offered a selection of brighter colors they might appeal to a younger crowd. That aside I was impressed by how much I like the products. It would of been nice if they put a few samples such as perfume because I didn't even know that they offered perfume. I have to say I really like the packaging , very clean , classy and sleek. The prices are a bit on the pricey side for me, along the same pricing as MAC. I tend not to by pricey makeup for 1 I can't afford it and 2 because I have so much makeup that buying high priced makeup isn't really a smart idea , but for someone that needs a set of makeup for their everyday I would defiantly suggest making the MaryKay investment. You will get a good quality makeup that will last.

The Wrap Up:

I am in love with the Lash Lengthening and the Lash primer. They work incredibly well and look great. As far as everything else. The brush is nice, very sturdy and easy to use, and the price is good! The Cream eyecolor is a fantastic color but I really don't like cream shadows personally. It would never be something that I would buy myself. but as far as they actual product, it's easy to use and dries pretty quickly. Now for the lipstick. Love the color, don't like the fact its lipstick. I don't wear lipstick, it never looks right on me. This lipstick is very creamy and a good formula but I never wore it out of my place.

Would I buy MaryKay products?

I am still kind of on the fence. I don't see many products that I would like but I probably would give it a try and meet up with a consultant to try some stuff out. MK is a quality product for a decent price.
I haven't bought anything via Heartsy in a long while.. there was too much drama at one point plus nothing that tickled my fancy.. So I browsed Hearsty and found a cute little Jersey based jewelry shop called Avenue B.. well I found some cute things so I bought a voucher and placed my order. My goodies arrived a couple weeks later in a bubble mailer. 1 necklace came in an organza bag and the other necklace and earrings came in a little box.

Octopus Cameo necklace: I ordered this in pink and black . It also is silver plated and came with a ball chain. I really like this necklace!

Pretty Little Darling : A Dead Cameo Necklace: This is gunmetal plated. I love this necklace! It looks fabulous and I have gotten so many compliments on it!!

Black Glittery Ear Stud Flowers: These are cute but a bit big for my ears.. so won't be worn all the time but are cute for a special occasion!

I like this shop! They have tons of pieces and the price isn't to bad, and they are from Jersey which is awesome (WOOT WOOT)

Will I order again? Heck yeah.. When I get the funds! Now my makeup collection is crazy awesome I think I'm going to work on my jewelry collection!
Awhile ago I saw a review on a company called Lucky 107. ( I forget who did the review) But I was immediately drawn in. For 1 the logo is a clover and horseshoe.. and we know I'm nuts about clovers! I went on the site and browsed around. I was impressed by the variety of products ranging from shadows to primer and lip gloss and solid lotion. Lucky 107 offers 2 types of bloggers packs.. 1 for the up and coming reviewer and 1 for the experienced blogger.. Each pack has a set of stipulations for it. I met the criteria for the experienced blogger.. So I went ahead and chose my products and placed the order.. I did message the owner Rebecca about an extension on posting time .. I wasnt positive if I would be able to get the post out in the 2 weeks... this was right after my father passed away.. so didn't know where my life would be.. She replied back very sweetly and told me no problem.. to take my time.! So I went ahead and placed my order on Feb 15th

My order arrived on the 24th in a bubble mailer 9 days after I ordered... inside was alot of pretty stuff! 6 clamshells came in a plastic bag, 4 full sizes came wrapped in tissue paper tied with ribbon.. 2 lipglosses , 1 lip balm and a primer were wrapped the same way.. Inside the 2nd plastic bag was a free sample , invoice and buisness cards. All in all very cute wrapping and presentation.
I have seen reviews and looks done with EvilShades Cosmetics for awhile now and for some reason I just never ordered from them.. I have browsed the site.. but never placed an order.. honestly I have no idea why.. after a couple blogger friends told me I HAVE to order from ES I told myself I will place no other order till I order from ES.. I decided to go with a blogger pack which offered my choice of 5 shadows, 3 blushes and 4 lippies for $10.00.
It only took a couple weeks for my order to arrive ( I completely forgot to type everything down) but everything came within TAT time. My order arrived in a bubble mailer and everything came in a super cute soft teal organza bag. The shadows came in clamshells, the blushes came in a pot shell? I don't know what they are called and the lippies came in a mix of clamshell and a cute little holder..

As far as the shadows.. all shadows go on super smooth and look great! I know I went a little nutty with the purples but.. you know me .... :) The blushes are lovely and unique! The lippies are amazing and much better then I thought! The only thing is that Deception is a bit clumpy and a little oily.. it could have been the container or maybe that is the way it is.. but it's a great color!

Favorites:

Renodite (shadow)
Chusi (shadow)
Illusive (shadow)
Daydream (blush)
Lost Kiss (lip)
-Pretty good Selection
-Great color payoff
-Unique color palette
Cons:
-The only complaint I have is that Deception was a little clumpy and oily.. it may have been cause of the small container.
ITA is a company out of Etsy that is making some headway in the Indie world. From their amazing color and payoff from the presentation/packaging. I believe that everything came in a bubblemailer. All products were in a cute xmas zip bag. Included was 1 fullsize (no sifter), 2 clamshell and 3 sample baggies. Also was a businesses card, a pamphlet of colors and ingredients , a picture and a personalized letter. The packaging is incredibly cute.. its got like a gothic, victorian cartoon thing going on!
As far as labeling everything came with name of company, name of product, if its vegan and lip safe or not.

All colors have great payoff and blend like butter... They also look amazing and sparkle so much!

Final thought:

I really like this company , they are all around a great company..from the photography, presentation and payoff. The only thing I would have to complain about is there isn't a huge variety of colors but it must be taken into consideration that the owner Linda does have a full time job and this is still a new company.

Would I order? Yes.. I am gonna sit back and see what else ITA comes out with... I would love to see gloss in the future!! But yes I will order in the near future!!

How about you? See anything you like? Have you ordered from Innocent Twisted Alchemy?
They have a nice range of soaps. bath salt and sanitizers, as well as very professional photography and very detailed descriptions. I immediately saw a few soaps that I wanted to try! KSC is a newer shop , opening on August 11 2011. I convroed the owners and after a few convros back and forth I was sent a package to review! The soaps arrived in a box with packing peanuts.. inside was a pamphlet , A thank you card , my 2 choice soaps and 4 additional soap samples, a face soap sample and a sample of bath salt. The packaging is cute and is complete with ingredients.

Twilight Soap - "A blend of exotic patchouli, spicy cinnamon, and woodsy, sweet cedarwood. A fabulous spicy, sweet aroma that is not too strong. Reminiscent of Halloween."

This soap smells incredible.. I can't even describe it.. Twilight is amazing and I was super excited to try it.. I can't stop sniffing it! This lathers great and leaves a subtle scent on the skin.

Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey-" A rich blend of oatmeal, farm fresh milk and a dollop of honey with a hint of spice."

Ok so for those of you that have been reading my blog for awhile you know I have a thing for Oatmeal Milk and Honey soap. For those that don't know.. I have an obssesion for OMH soap! I have noticed that all companies make this kind of soap different.. As far as KSC's OMH soap.. Wow.. amzing .. it has a bit of a brown sugar smell.. but nothing overpowering.

Vanilla Fig - Blend of "Ripe Fig, Bergamot, Fresh Peach, Sweet Vanilla Musk, Candied Rum, Dark Amber"

This was my least favorite in the bunch.. Personally I don't care for the smell.. but like the other others it lathers great and leaves a faint scent.

Cherry Almond- " A delectable blend of lightly sugar coated, sweet, plump cherries and nutty almonds. Can't get enough of the smell of this soap! A top seller with our customers."

I didn't think I would like this soap.. I am not one for fruit smells.. but the balance of cherry and almond make this a truly lovely soap.. It doesn't have a extremely high cherry smell.. just enough.. its one of those soap you use and you feel pretty..

Dreamsicle- "A blend of orange and cream. Smells just like the frozen treat, so much so that you might be tempted to want to take a bite."

So I had to go out and buy Dreamsicles after smelling this. Now being the fact that it is really a sweet smelling soap I couldnt use it for shower purposes but I left it in the bathroom for everyone to use as a handsoap and I am happy to say everyone loves it! A friend of mine said that she thinks it smells great and her hands feel truely clean after using it!

Goats Milk , Oatmeal and Honey - "All the benefits of Goat's Milk with the added benefits of Oatmeal Colloidal. Oatmeal Colloidal helps eczema, psoriasis, acne, bug bites, sunburn, & other minor skin irritations. Also aids in the relieve of chicken pox, poison ivy, oak, and sumac, as well as other itchy skin rashes. When skin is itchy & irritated, the skins PH levels may rise, Oatmeal Colloidal brings PH back down to normal levels, taming the need to itch. "

This soap is great!! It smells good and not only lather great but it leaves you with a fresh and clean feeling!

Green Tea Facial Bar - 'A spa like facial bar that will leave you skin clear and youthful. A blend of green tea, goat's milk, avocado oil, evening primrose (high in anti-oxidants), Bentonite Clay, and green tea leaves for a light exfoliate."

I can not rave about this face soap enough.. it is amazing. When applied it feels kind of like a mask to me.. I love it and can't wait to purchase a full size!

Pink Himalayan Spa Salt -- Unfortunately I am not able to review this.. I am a cabinet in my bathroom where I have all of my bath stuff.. well on one of the shelves I have my to be reviews soap and my soap driers.. Kalamazoo Soap Co packs their samples in wax paper bags and because i had a blonde moment I accidentally left it next to the soap drier and the water soaked the bag.. yeah it was a mess and kinda upsetting.. I do have to say it smelt great!

All in All:

I like this company.. they are very friendly and professional. You can tell the care that goes into their products. All soaps lather great and leave just enough scent.. nothing overpowering. So between the photography, descriptions , packaging and the actual product, I have to say they are sure to be a favorite of everyone who enjoys a great smell quality soap!

Will I order? Oh yeah I gotta get some more of the Green Tea Face Soap and there are a few more soap I want to try!

To bring you a little more about this company I asked Tracy a few questions!! Here they are

1.How long have you been making soap for?
We started making the soap in late 2010, first just for ourselves and then deciding to start a business after friends and family fell in love with our soaps. We are a husband and wife team. My husband is the soap maker and I am the "everything" else maker. We work together on what soaps we would like to offer and then I do the artwork, labels, wrapping, and marketing.
2. How did you come up with the name Kalamazoo Soap Co?
Well, we live in Kalamazoo and thought Kalamazoo is a unique name people would remember. Since our soaps are made the old fashion way, we thought Kalamazoo Soap Co. sounded like something you would hear/see back in the 1800-1900's. From there we carried the vintage idea into our packaging and label. The logo is actually a painting of Main St. in Kalamazoo from the early 1900's.

3. What is your favorite soap to make , and the one that is hardest to make?
My husband enjoys making all the soap but does particularly like the ones that he puts colorants, clays, or powders in and swirls them around. I will have to say that we tried a "Camper's Soap" which consisted of a lot of stinky oils and decided immediately that one was not going to be produced again. It took 2 weeks to get the smell out of everything. It did work great for repelling bugs....and probably everything else too:)
4. You have some interesting / unique soaps ie Dirt (Hunters ) soap and Apple Jack Soap.. How do you come up with these.. do you plan to make that scent or is it an oops?
The Dirt soap is an actual fragrance oil meant to smell just like dirt. It really does too. Everyone laughs in amazement when they smell it. The Apple Jack is a fragrance oil already mixed to smell like it does. So far all our scents that we mixed ourselves have turned out how we planned.

5. Do you have a signature soap that is close to your heart?
I don't know if we can pick just one that we like the best. We both have some that we like better than others but all that we are happy with. I think our favorite soaps are what we consider "beneficial soaps", the ones that help skin issues. We use various clays, powders, oils, butters, and essential oils that help people that have skin problem, sensitivities, or wish to improve their skin.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The Company:A few months ago I did a review on BlackRose minerals. Since then I have been using the colors I have and been lusting over colors that I want, just waiting for the right time to order again. Well Rosa the lovely owner of BRM had a 100 sales/ Birthday sale. It was 30% off any size order, well I had to jump on that. I wanted some of the colors I been eyeing and wanted to see how the compnay has grown over the past few months. So I went through the site and got my order together, checked out through paypal and badda-bing, now all I had to do is wait for my pretties to arrive.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Shipping and packaging:My order took about a week to arrive. I ended up getting a 5 for $25 deal and a mystery pack ( what can I say Im a sucker for a surprise!) My pretties came in a bubble mailer and 5 choice shadows were wrapped in black tissue paper with a big sticker that says " thank for your purchase" My mystery pack was wrapped the same way with the sticker saying " Mystery Pack" There was also a bag that said " Thank You" with a rose stamp on it. Inside the envelope was a business card, a personal note from Rosa, stickers and a couple samples! Super excellent packaging!
Being a favorite company of mine I just had to purchase a voucher. I bought this voucher as my last VIP on Aug 11th. I saved it for a bit and made my order on Sept 4th via Etsy. Etsy is super easy to use as well as the checkout is easy.

My order was shipped on Sept 1 and my order arrived on Sept 19. My package came in securely in a bubble mailer. I noticed immediately that SP&F has changed up their label.. They are so cute!!

I ordered the pick 5 and Lip Anomalies " Ghost of Petra" tinted lip balm

A is for Awesome - "A really pretty bright purple shade. With undertones of magenta. It has a shimmery finish with pink and purple reflects in it."

Redonkulous -" a dark lavender like purple. It has tons of shimmers and purple reflects to it."

Calamity- "a bright perwinkle like shade with blue undertones. This powdered blue/purple mineral applies with a satin matte feel and has a tiny bit of blue reflects in certain light."

Moe Madio- "a rich dark navy blue. It has a perfect amount of navy shimmer and reflects to it. When applied it looks like a dark midnight blue with black undertones"

Witches brew- "a sultry deep shimmery purple. It`s a very sexy shade with it`s dark purple smokey effect it has when applied."

Ghost of Petra - "is a vamp-like bright red lip shade. It has a hot pink like look when worn lightly. It also has a lip stain quality which makes it very long wearing. Can be built up to make a really stunning 1940`s pin-up girl look. Flavored with sweet french vanilla."
From L-R over UDPP: Witches Brew, Calamity, A is for Awesome, Momadio, Redonkuloussw
Final Thought:

These colors are fantastic and SP&F remains a favorite of mine! These colors blend lovely and last a long time. Each time I order from SP&F they colors get better and better!! I have already gathered a few more colors I need to get.. I can't wait to order again!

Which SweetPea & Fay colors are your favorites!!
Thats when I stumbled across SideShow Soap Co. I was amazed at not only the name but the photography as well. I started to browse through the well rounded selection of products and decided to send a convro to the owner asking her about TAT and mini lotions, I also inquired about working together on a review. I got a quick response back stating that her TAT is 2-4 days and they will be offering minis very soon. She also said that she would be interested on working on a review. So after a few more convros back and forth Jessica said that she sent a package my way!

A couple days later this wonderful little box arrived at my doorstep! When I first opened it there was a buisness card and a big company card. It also had a faint smell of popcorn, which is what SideShow soap co uses to pack their orders. I think that is not only cute but original also! Jessica's presentation is wonderful.. as you see!

The array of goodies that were sent are

The Painted Lady Body Scrub (full size) - "Violet Woods. Bright, lady-like and intriguing. A colorful bouquet of Victorian violets, french lavender, pale roses and purple iris with a soft base of well-manicured woods and sweet musk."

I can not rave about this enough.. I absolutely love it.. it not only smells incredible but it makes my skin sooo soft. I like how this company uses spheres and not sugar.. sugar body scrub just makes me feel icky.. This is a holy grail item!

The Albino Alligator lotion (sample size) - "Magnolia acacia. A bayou beauty. Pure white magnolia, lily of the valley, tuberose and jasmine gaze out at you with a gleaming red eye of acacia wood."

I really like this lotion.. it moisturizes lovely and smells great.. it doesn't leave a heavy scent which I like. The only thing is that it takes a few min to soak into the skin.. but that is the thing with a lot of indie companies that have lotion.. they don't put in the funky stuff, which is great!!

The Serpent Bride (full size soap) - "Lotus Flower. An undulating blend of jasmine and exotic roses with a tantalizing base of sultry amber, sandalwood and musk."

WOW!!! this smells incredible. Now if you have been a reader for awhile, you'll know I am not into flowery smells.. but this is UH - to-the MAZING, it's not a POW in your face flower smell.. its very subtle, and the musk tones it down.. SideShow Soaps lather great and leave a hint of smell on your skin, not overpowering!

The Human Blockhead (sample size soap) - "Rarest cardamom and peppercorn hammered into a heart of sweet rosewood, sandalwood and bracing vetiver. Precious tonka bean and amber soften the blow of this curious blend"

This isnt my favorite out of the bunch, but I don't dislike it.. It smells pretty good, but nothing compared to Serpent Bride. It lather great and leaves a faint smell on the skin.

The Egress (sample size soap) -"Egress: a means or place of going out; an exit. Oak leaves and crushed acorns. Swirling leaves and a faint whisper of pine greet you as you walk through the door. A mournful wild violet dances past as it dawns on you that you've been had by those damn carnies.'

This is a perfect fall soap! It really puts me in the mood for Halloween! Everytime I smell it I want a Starbucks Cafe Mocha.. lol ( when fall really hits that is my drink at Starbucks!!) This soap also lathers great and leaves a faint smell on the skin

Candy Floss -"Cotton candy bubblegum vegan lip balm. An explosion of pink sweetness!"

I love this lip balm.. it moisturizes wonderful and smells awesome. Cotton candy bubble gum is what ya get! Love it! The only thing was the first use it kinda chipped, but after the first layer it was fine. I keep this on me all the time!!

Will I buy from SideShow Soap Co?

Yes I actually will be ordering this week! I have my list all ready to go just waiting for payday! I really like this company. From the photography, to the presentation and packaging , to the actual product. The soap lathers great and you feel refreshed and clean!! It also doesn't melt fast.. some soap melt so fast that you can only use a full size like 3-4 times and samples once or twice. These soaps don't do that! I can not rave about this company enough. I will be a long time customer to SideShow Soap Co.

By the time I realized it was back open many weeks went by but here it is my hi-fi cosmetics on Heartsy review!!
We are gonna revisit Hi-Fi Cosmetics today. As you know they are one of my favorite indie companies and when they were featured on Heartsy I jumped on that quickly! I had a buncha Heartsy credits saved up so never actually paid outta pocket for this one! It was $10 for $35 worth of products! I ordered on July 6th and received my goods on July 27th.. Which is about 3 weeks. As usual my order came secure and wrapped wonderfully!

The products I got are:

Dismemberment Constellation - "is a cosmic purple with blue duochrome and a twinkling galaxy of blue sparkle!'
I like this color but I think its more pink than purple.. in fact I would call it a hot pink

Jingle Bell Rock - "is a vivid purple jam-packed with teal and iridescent glitters! This is the "punk rocker" of the collection!!"
This color screams at you! looks amazing at the crease or foiled as a liner!

Prophecies and Curses - "is an amazing, glowing medium-green "
Fabulous!!! I love this on my lid.

Epidemic - "is a vivid green with intense gold highlight and iridescent sparkle"
Wow.. I didnt think I would like this color when I first opened it but once applied this color will wow you.

Things that can not speak- "is a deep magenta hue with lots of fuschia and indigo glitters. "
This is a beautiful purple! One of my new favs!

Three Libras (free sample)- "is a cool, pale, shimmering beige with lots of iridescent sparklies!"
I havent actually worn this yet.. its pretty just not inspired by it..

I was super stoked when I saw this sample, I have been aching to try it for a while and happy I have it!!! It looks amazing!

Novacaine Spotlight Lip Glaze -"is a smooth and creamy moisturizing gloss with softening Vitamin E. This product is thick, but not sticky, and has an almost balm-like feel"
Still unsure about this.. I thought it would have been a bolder color

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The Company:
The Morbid The Merrier has been on my list for such a long time but to be honest , I am so picky on scents, like annoying picky. Well after winning RiverCityLizzys 100+ giveaway which included full size bottle of Noelia I was hooked. Noelia smells so blasted lovely I couldn't stop sniffing my wrists ( which made an interesting night at the bar.. my friends kept thinking I was losing my mind ). At the time I went to the site it was closed.. So I waited and finally it opened. I hopped over to Etsy and placed my order. TMTM has a nice selection of oils for anyones ideal scent. I ended up choosing choose 5 sample set.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Shipping and packaging:My order arrived on Sept 9th in a bubble mailer. It took 10 days from ordering to receive, not bad! My smell good came carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and tissue wrap in a cute fashion and also include a card and a free sample!
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The Products
The scents I chose are-

Delina - "is a scent for a woman with a dark side. It's black garters and blood red lips, sweet and sinister simultaneously. Lotus gives it innocence, amber grounds, and red wine gives it just enough naughty! I think it's something Miss Delina herself would have liked."

I love this scent..It absolutely smells incredible. I can't stop smelling myself when I wear it.. This will be a full size purchase! Delina definitely has a dark and sexiness to it!

Athelia - the blackest fig, accompanied by spice, wood smoke, earth and moss... softened and sweetened with lotus flower.

I have a love/hate relationship with this scent.. I don't love it but don't hate it. It does smell good and smells pretty good on me but I would not buy a full size of it. Honestly don't know how much I will wear it. It may go in the purse as an emergency scent.

Lucy-White-out! A melange of white, white, white. White musk, white sandal, vanilla bean, indian white amber and white pepper. But don't worry. I've added enough black to keep it interesting.

I was very iffy on this scent, it really didn't sound like something that would smell good on me, I was wrong. This is a fantastic scent and I love it!

Kuku- " is a stunning combination of sweet neroli, wood, and leather. It's the feminine version of my Black Jack. Opens up sweet and flowery but, like her namesake, should not be underestimated... this lady has quite a dark side!"

This is the only scent I do not like. It doesn't smell good to me, to much like flowers .I knew from first smell it is not a Christa scent. Don't get me wrong it smells good, just not the deep musky, dark smell I like.

Paramour- "Oh, romance. Or something like it. A dozen red roses, spilled wine, a hint of blood, and gunsmoke"

Wowzers.. Beautiful scent.. I love everything about this! I can't wait to purchase a full size! For some reason this smell reminds me of the book.movie Gone with the Wind. Go with me on this one. Roses.. something that would of been around a plantation house.. spilled wine.. cause Scarlet is a diva.. blood... cause of bloodshed due to war... and gunsmoke.. cause of war.. I don;'t know thats what it reminds me of..

I orginally wanted Organ Grinder but convroed and asked to switch it out for Paramour and the owner Lysa quickly replied "Absolutely". Well Lysa sent Organ Grinder anyways!

Organ Grinder -" Spicy, dark, and seductive. A heavy base of tobacco, smoke, pepper and wood, rounded out by just a touch of sweet. A deep, masculine scent - to be worn only by the ones our mothers warned us about"

I have to admit when first choosing this I wanted it based on the fact Organ Grinder is an Emilie Autumn song, and she is one of my favorite artist! Once I read the description I thought it would be too deep of a scent for myself, thats why I asked to switch it out, but when Lysa sent it anyway I was super stoked to try it out. This oil reminds me of Emilie Autumn's Organ Grinder song. Its deep and dark, but still lovely.. something right out of the Dark Asylum.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Final thought:

Pros:
-Good variety of scents and products
-Decent pricing
-Good communication
-Good shipping time
-Incredible scents
Cons:
-I don't like the one scent, but that shouldn't reflect the shop

Will I be ordering agian? Oh yes!! I can't wait to order a couple full sizes and some more samples! I am already adding things into my cart!Chrissy Rozehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10112217405171153837noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5505792732750209223.post-70054975739657662922011-08-24T20:27:00.000-04:002011-08-24T20:27:20.481-04:00SugarPill- A Review {Picture Heavy} <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The Company & Ordering:
Sugarpill is an awesome, pretty well known indie company. Most people who know about Sugarpill knows of their wonderfully pigmented pressed shadowed and glittery goodness of their loose pigments! Sugarpill is the brianchild of the lovely Amy AKA Shrinkle. Amy launched SP to the world in 2010 with a goalto bring a "custom line of vibrant, richly pigmented, velvety pressed eyeshadows and sparkling loose powders" I do believe she succeeded!
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Shipping and packaging:

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

I ordered on July 20th and in less than a week my order arrived. Sugarpill ships their products to you in a specially made box that has their logo and their name on it. When opened you see tissue paper, cards, invoice, products and a cute sample.

I ended up getting 5 Chromalusts and 2 pressed shadows. All shadows cost $12.00 , which yes I know is a bit of money for shadows but if you look at what you get its well worth it.. plus you can always split the cost with someone.
I first saw Hi-Fi Cosmetics on Etsy awhile ago and had my eye on a bunch of colors. When I went to order Veronica had put her shop in vacation mode. So time went on and eventually opened back up for buisness. After more time went by Hi-Fi had a sale. In honor of the NON apocalypse , there was a $10 off of $20 or more. So I thought it was a great time to try this highly recommended company. I placed my order on May 22nd via Artfire. Artfire is very easy to use and most of the colors lists the ingredients , whether it's vegan, whether it's lip safe, size and description.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Shipping and packaging:
I ended up ordering the 5 shadows for $20.00 with the discount it came to $10.00. Shipping was $1.00 which is the best shipping ever. Now the shipping time did take a bit long but Veronica was experiencing alot of power outings and storms. She did update her Facebook page as often as she could. On June 6th I messaged Veronica about my order, she quickly messaged me back apologizing and stating that it should ship the next day and that she has been busy running errands that her husband who is away on military duty does. I can appreciate that being my brother is in the Army. I received my package on June 13th In a bubble mailer. My shadows came in bags. 4 in 1 bag and 1 in another bag. There was an invoice included as well as a business card and 2 samples baggies which were in another bag.
I was so excited for the colors that I started using them immediately. I really like how the color and ingredients are on the bottom of the jar.
I have heard alot of good things about Fryinnae from other bloggers, especially about their pixie epoxy primer. I heard its amazing and their shadows are beautiful , so I decided to give them a look. Going through the pages of lovely colors I decided to place an order, But I wanted to try their pixie epoxy to see what all the hype is about. At that time they didnt have any so I created an account and put a couple mini shadows in my cart and waited. About a week later I heard that they had PE back in stock so I went ahead and placed my order. Now on the front page it says that there TAT is 26-28 days possibly sooner, which is kind of ridiculous but went ahead and placed an order.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Shipping and packaging:
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> My order was placed on May 17 and I received a shipping notice on May 22nd , so I am guessing that the 26-28 days is to cover themselves. My order arrived on May 26th in a bubblemailer. my pretties were wrapped in tissue paper. There was an invoice and a free sample included!
It's purple.. need I say more..
Makes a wicked awesome smoky eye
Sugar Skulls ( Free sample) "Vibrant deep pink, leaning warm but not overly so, with a glimmering orange (not gold!) highlight that adds dimension"
I am sure you have seen tons of swatches and have read the love of this company from others. Well I recently bought from them and got to say I am impressed!! Not only the shipping is uber quick I ordered on May 26th and on May 28th got my package... Yes I said that right.. 2 days! Granted I live in NJ and NY is only 1 1/2 away from me, but still awesome quick! My order came in a bubble mailer , nice and secure!

I do have to say that using the site can be a little overwhelming at first but I quickly caught on.

I got the 5 pan palette which came to $5.00. (originally it was 10 but because I got 5 shadows it was discounted to $5.00) each shadow pan is normally $7.00 but the more you spend the less the price becomes, so they ended up being $5.00 each. Shipping was $7.00 which is a bit pricey but guessing it's cause its a heaver product. Tax was $2.59. Altogether it was $39.59.

Now for the colors

Messed up on numbers 362 and 384 while editing.. but colors are placed in proper colors
#392 Matte purple

#372 Matte Teal

Ok I know I went a little nutty with the mattes but hey for $40 bucks I am gonna get colors I will use alot , and Wowzers do I use them alot! I use #372 the most, Its just about the perfect purple! I love the magnetic palette and fortunately I mastered getting the top off without nicking my shadows! (now that I said that I am jinxed for life lol). The shadows are super pigmented and blend beautifully! Only real downfall is there is alot of product dusting which means when you get the shadow out of the pan , there is alot of shadow loose in the pan

So will I order agian.. Heck yeah, when I have the moolah.

Here's a quick tip for you. Now when your cleaning your brushes .. either spot or deep cleaning have the bristles, have you ever had the bristles crush? Well i have a quick solution for those pesky brush hairs.

1 Grab your brow/ lash brush

2. Take the brush with the crushed bristles in one hand and the brow brush in the other

3. Now comb out the brush gently

And whaa-la brush has not crushed bristles!!

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The Company:

I have been eyeballing Brazen Cosmetics for a while now on etsy.. They have a fab selection and the products pictures are done very professionally as well as they seemed to be a well established fav of the indie makeup world so I went ahead to start my order. There are alot to choose from and couldn't make up my mind so I started searched for a sample pack. I actually couldn't find some so I sent a convro to the company asking if they did samples. The lovely owner Sandi sent me a swift reply saying she sure does and will make a custom listing for me.. she also offered to help with color selection. I thought that was awesome of her!! Since my purchase Sandi has closed her etsy shop and is avalible on Artfire. Brazen is getting their very own website opening May 1st!
*Note: This post is real late due to her Brazen was closed because she moved and I was waiting till she re-opened, also with my uber busy life lately. Be sure to check out the SURPRISE at the end of the post!!!*

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Shipping and packaging:

So I ordered on March 1st and by march 3rd I had a tracking number. Well sandi was nice enough to send me an email to let me know it actually went out on the 4th.. Which is very nice of her. I still think its quick ship out time!! My package arrived on the 11th so a little over a week from ordering time, which isn't bad. My stuff arrived in a regular bubble mailer. Inside was my invoice with a personalized thank you written, which I like. 2 free samples (1 lip scrub and 1 shadow) and my 5 shadows! My shadows were wrapped securely in tissue paper! There was also a business card that said thank you and had a coupon code for next order! Shipping was $2.75. $2.25 for the 1st item and $.50 every item after that. That very good for shipping

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The Products:

Full size shadows : $5.49 for a 5 gram jar and sifter full of product
Sandi created a custom listing for me for my sample I got 4 3 gram jars for $10. It had tons of shadow in them
I got 5 shadows , 4 samples and 1 full size limited edition and they were all individually sealed. The full size has a sifter . the samples came in a jar and not a baggie.
